On Wednesday 2 March, Fahan School Year 8 Drama students welcomed star of the Australian screen and stage, Lisa Gormley, to their Drama class.

Home and Away actress, NIDA Teacher and Graduate, Lisa was delighted to meet with Fahan staff and students and deliver a Shakespeare workshop. The workshop focused on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which will be performed by Fahan School students at the Peacock Theatre on June 2 - 3, 2016.

Lisa studied at Sydney's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) providing her with the skills and knowledge to work proficiently across theatre, film and television.

Well known for her role on the Seven Network television show, Home and Away, where she played the role of Bianca Scott, Lisa also enjoys the opportunity to teach Drama work with students.

“Teaching is definitely one of my passions - there is nothing I like more than working with students and passing on what I have learnt,” said Lisa.

During the Drama workshop Lisa shared with students ideas and techniques on Shakespeare text and characters.
