On Monday 27 June, Fahan School students from the Early Learning Centre through to the Senior School participated in another successful Big Sister, Little Sister event with the theme of Teddy Bear Picnic.

The girls met in the Gym and moved into their ‘families’ where the Senior girls assisted the Junior girls with a Buddy Bear colouring page, shared some snacks and even a cuddle with Buddy Bear herself.

Fahan School teacher, Mrs Jane Macrossan, said, “It is always wonderful to see the spontaneous interactions between the older and younger girls. It is a great opportunity to bring the girls together and for the older girls to show leadership in ensuring the younger girls are feeling included and engaged in the School Community.”

Lucy McTaggart, Junior School Chair, who worked closely with Mrs Macrossan to organise the event, said, “It was fantastic to see that the Big Sister, Little Sister teddy bear picnic was enjoyed by all. It was especially nice to see both younger and older girls developing their friendships by completing the question activity together.”

Big Sister, Little Sister events take place every Term and aim to foster lasting relationships amongst the girls.
