On Sunday 18 September, the Fahan School Parents’ and Friends’ Association (P&F) held its biennial School Fair. The Fair was a great success with an incredible attendance, despite the weather, which included current and prospective families, Alumni and the general public.

Planning the Fair is a huge undertaking and under the guidance of P&F President, Gillian Vosper, the Fair Co-ordinators - Kirsten Lynch, Maggie Davis, Simon Barton and Madeleine Barton – worked tirelessly in the months leading up to the Fair and were supported by a group of dedicated parents and volunteers who put in a great effort to ensure the Fair was a success.

“The Fair is a great event that showcases the wonderful community spirit that is such an important part of this school,” said Gillian.

The rain was a small setback on the morning of the Fair, but served to showcase the camaraderie and spirit that exists in the Fahan Community as the entire Fair was moved indoors, to multiple locations around the School, at the eleventh hour.

A number of stalls were on show., These included a large array of gourmet food; BBQs; Tasmanian cheese and mulled wine; preserves; fresh produce; fairies and face painting; plants; Devonshire Tea; hot soup; Tasmanian wine and a Chocolate Wheel, bursting with prizes generously donated by members of the Fahan Community and local businesses.

The P&F Committee should be congratulated on their efforts in producing another successful Fahan School Fair.
