The Fahan school has two libraries to provide support for the teaching and learning requirements of the students at Fahan school.

Mission Statement
The Fahan libraries are committed to developing skills which will assist students to become lifelong learners. By co-operatively working with other teaching staff, information literacy outcomes will be identified and achieved using a wide range of print and digital resources. We are also committed to promoting literature and fostering a love of reading as a worthwhile leisure pursuit.
An information literate person is one who:
* recognises that accurate and complete information is the basis for intelligent decision making
* recognises the need for information
* formulates questions based on information needs
* identifies potential sources of information
* develops successful search strategies
* accesses sources of information including computer based and other technologies
* evaluates information
* organises information for practical application
* integrates new information into an existing body of knowledge
* uses information in critical thinking and problem solving.
