The students were asked to describe how they spend their days
as students in Tasmania. Each student in the class took a photo of their home
and then to write a little about how they fill their day. It is hoped the students
in Malang will also share with us how they spend their day.
A day in the life of ...
Hi, our names are Laura and Felicity,
We will tell you what a normal day is like in our own Australian homes.
We have to wake up at around 6:30 in the morning so we aren't late for school.
We have a certain uniform for school? We wear a kilt, blazer, beret, cream shirt,
tie, {stockings or socks}, brown shoes and brown jumper. Eggs,Bacon, toast and
cereal is a typical Australian breakfast. What do you have for breakfast? These
are some cereals ,Weet bix, corn flakes, rice bubbles, Cocopops, miniweats crunchy
nut Corn flakes and sustain, all drenched in pasteurised milk. For toast toppings
we have: jam, peanut butter, Vegimite, Nuttella, Milky Way, Honey, Promite and
Marmalade. Another thing that we have for breakfast is pancakes. They can have
sugar and lemon, maple syrup and golden syrup on them.
How do you get to school? We can catch a bus, go by car, walk or ride a bike.
What do you do at school? We do: Maths, science, art, language, physical education
and computing which is when we write our letters to you with Mr Lelong. They
are only a few of the things of which we do on a typical school day.
When we get home from school we usually do our home work then sit down in front
of the television for a few hours. Later we have dinner, watch a bit more television
or play with our toys such as: Teddy bears, dolls, toy cars, trucks and board
games or perhaps just sit and read a book, Then we go to bed.
So there you have it a typical school day in Australia.
From you new friends in Australia:
Felicity and Laura
