Australian Men's Hockey Team, the Kookaburras Inspire Students with Visit to Fahan

On Tuesday, 17 February, we were delighted to welcome members of the Australian Men's Hockey Team - the Kookaburras to Fahan, where they spoke with our Junior School students, joined by our Senior Sports Science class.

 

Students had the opportunity to hear firsthand about life as elite athletes representing Australia on the world stage. The players shared insights into the long hours, demanding training schedules, resilience and teamwork required to compete at the highest level, along with the discipline involved in wearing the green and gold.

 

It was a valuable and inspiring session, offering our students a glimpse into the commitment behind high-performance sport and encouraging many more to consider giving hockey a try in Term 2.
