Alex has extensive experience in both public and private industries holding senior management roles at Blundstone, Tourism Tasmania, MyState Limited and the Tasmanian Ports Corporation.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Tourism Management and Journalism from the University of Tasmania and a Diploma of Tourism and Leisure Management from the University of Southern Denmark.

Alex is a member of the Fahan School Alumni, Class of 2001.
