Nic completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Tasmania in 2007 majoring in Ceramics, Printmaking and Photography and his Diploma of Education through Charles Sturt University in Bathurst, NSW in 2002.

Since then Nic has worked in numerous schools in Tasmania including Woodbridge District High School, Elizabeth College and Scotch Oakburn College in Launceston.

In 2008 Nic began working as a project officer for arts@work on education based public art programs across Tasmania. His work involves State Government Primary and Secondary Schools.

“I love developing an artistic awareness and a desire to explore and take risks artistically. It is one of the most fulfilling experiences to see students flourish while being involved in the creation art.”

Nic is a practicing Printmaker and Manager of Tapir Studios in Hobart. He exhibits and showcases his works as well as works by leading Tasmanian Printmakers to national audiences in Melbourne.
