Sophie completed her Bachelor of Health and Physical Education at the University of Tasmania in July 2018. After travelling overseas, she worked as a relief teacher at a variety of Primary and High schools around Hobart before commencing her teaching position at Fahan in January 2019.
“I feel very fortunate as a young teacher to have the opportunity to begin my teaching career in a school such as Fahan. I am inspired by the way the girls at Fahan are enthusiastic, self- motivated, independent learners and their willingness to immerse themselves in all areas of school life and contribute positively to the wider community. Fahan’s unique size means that special bonds are developed with both peers and teachers, allowing every girl to feel valued. I am particularly enjoying being part of a supportive team of staff, parents and the wider community who are working together to make it possible for Fahan girls to achieve anything."
