Congratulations to our Fahan athletes who were selected to represent Tasmania at the 2025 Australian Junior Athletics Championships in Perth.
Jemima Geappen, Year 9, had a fantastic championship, winning a silver medal in the U16 Long Jump and a bronze in the U16 4x100m relay. She also came a very close fourth (by 0.01) in the U18 long jump final and also competed strongly in the U16 100m events.
Tené Terblanche, Year 9, competed in the U16 100m, reached the final of the 90m Hurdles where she finished a close 6th, and recorded a personal best in the U16 Long Jump. She also competed in the U16 4x100m relay alongside Jemima, helping secure a bronze medal with a personal best team performance.
Pia Abberton, Year 11, achieved personal bests in both her U18 800m and 1500m races—an excellent achievement across two challenging events.
Well done to Jemima, Tené and Pia on your outstanding results and for representing both Fahan and Tasmania with pride.
