Science Week at Fahan has been a celebration of curiosity and discovery under the theme “Decoding the Universe – Exploring the unknown with nature’s hidden language.”
Highlights included Dr Stewart’s chemistry experiment, Mr Bevan’s physics demonstrations, and the Years 5 - 6 Young Tassie Scientists incursion with scientists from the University of Tasmania. Our Kinder-Year 2 scientists explored nature’s details through microscopes and magnifying glasses, while senior students tackled computer-generated escape rooms and battled it out in a Years 7-12 Kahoot! quiz.
Art met Science with watercolour painting using pigments from rocks and vegetable dyes, and Years 3 - 4 and Year 8 look forward to attending the Festival of Bright Ideas.
A big thank you to our teachers for making Science Week such an engaging experience for our students.
