Celebrating our 90th Speech Night

10 December 2025

Our 90th Annual Speech Night marked the culmination of a significant year in the life of the School, bringing the community together to celebrate achievement, leadership and tradition. The evening opened with an address from Principal, Mrs Meg Lawson, followed by performances from the Senior Chamber Ensemble, who presented Empires of Light by Caroline Dale (arr. N. Dennis) and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik – Allegro, K.525 by Mozart.

A highlight of the evening was the Musical Theatre Ensemble’s performance of Shine: A Musical Pastiche, a collaborative work that showcased the creativity and depth of talent across the School. We extend our sincere gratitude to Ms Elizabeth Whitehouse (Class of 1967) for her valued contribution to this performance.

The evening also included addresses from Board Chair Ms Alexandra Garrott and Head Girl Hannah Sheen, before Academic, Values and Special Prizes were awarded, recognising excellence across a broad range of disciplines. Deputy Principal Mr Chris Summers also addressed the audience, ahead of the announcement of the 2026 Student Leaders and the Year 12 Valedictory, delivered by Mrs Lawson.

The evening concluded with performances by the Senior Choir, including An Irish Blessing, and the School Song, bringing the community together in reflection and celebration as we marked the culmination of our 90th year.
