Speak Up! Stay ChatTY Workshop Encourages Important Conversations

18 May 2026

On Monday 18 May, our Year 12 students took part in a workshop with SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY, a Tasmanian not-for-profit organisation that promotes positive mental health and works to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness and suicide.

The workshop brought the girls together to learn more about mental health awareness and the importance of speaking openly about how we feel. Students explored ways to support one another, start meaningful conversations and recognise that asking for help is a sign of strength.

The session was both informative and impactful, reminding students of the importance of looking after their own wellbeing and checking in on those around them. It also encouraged students to continue building a supportive and compassionate community where everyone feels comfortable speaking up.

Thanks to the Stay ChatTY team for taking the time to share their message and connect with our students.
