On the 24 June, our Year 4 Strings students visited The Hutchins School for a collaborative music session, bringing together young musicians from both schools.

The students enjoyed playing a range of pieces together, developing their ensemble skills while focusing on tone, rhythm and listening. They also had the opportunity to explore the role of a conductor, taking turns leading the group under the guidance of Mrs Anita Schleebs.

With a room full of string instruments, students experienced the rich sound of playing together as an orchestra, while building confidence and learning from one another in a shared musical setting.

Thank you to The Hutchins School for hosting such an enjoyable and valuable morning of music-making.
