Year 9 Debating Team Wins Tasmanian Interschool Debating Competition

Congratulations to our Year 9 debating team on winning the Tasmanian Debating Union's Interschool Debating Competition.

 

Deeksha Dharmapuri (Year 9), Viky Haslemova (Year 8), Caroline Senkbeil (Year 9) and Mia Stoklosa (Year 9) claimed the title after defeating Mount Carmel in the grand final, capping off an outstanding season of competition.

 

Throughout the competition, the team demonstrated impressive critical thinking, teamwork and public speaking skills, confidently presenting persuasive arguments and responding to challenging questions from opposing teams.

 

Winning the grand final is a wonderful achievement and reflects the students' dedication, preparation and commitment throughout the season.
