Year 9 Students Take on the Lumina 9 Alpine Expedition

In the first week of Term 3, the third group of Year 9 students set off on their chosen Lumina 9 experience – the Alpine Expedition at Ben Lomond.

 

For many, it was their first time on skis. From building snow trenches and navigating alpine landscapes to tackling new challenges each day, students embraced every opportunity the mountains had to offer.

 

There were frozen mornings, plenty of laughs, tired legs and countless moments that encouraged them to step beyond their comfort zones and grow in confidence.

 

Throughout the camp, students didn't just learn to ski – they learned to lead. They supported one another through every challenge, showed resilience when things got tough and stepped up as confident, encouraging leaders.

 

More than a camp, the Alpine Expedition was a fantastic opportunity to challenge themselves, put their learning into practice and discover just how much they could achieve. What a great way to begin Term 3!
