Students from Kindergarten to Year 12 came together for our whole-school House Cross Country at Sandown and Long Beach, with perfect conditions setting the scene for a wonderful day of participation, encouragement and House spirit.

In the first week of Term 2, our second group of Year 9 students set off on their chosen Lumina 9 camp - the Mountain Program.

We celebrated the outstanding academic achievements of 14 members of the Class of 2025 this Term, who attained an ATAR of 95 and above, placing them among the top 5% of students nationally.

Welcome back to all our students and staff, and a special welcome to the girls joining us. With the Fahan gardens full of colour and falling leaves, it was a wonderful Autumn day to start the term - we are excited for the term ahead.

Fahan athletes delivered an outstanding performance at the SATIS Athletics Carnival in Launceston, with a team of 38 students travelling north to compete against schools from across Tasmania.

Our first Big Sister, Little Sister event for the year brought the whole School together on the oval for an Easter-themed activity in the sunshine.

Nateby Club members met for their first luncheon of the year at the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania, with updates from Principal Mrs Meg Lawson and a presentation by Dr Mel Fitzpatrick.
Fahan Junior School excelled at the JSSATIS Swimming Carnival, with multiple race wins, personal bests and Mia Armstrong awarded the Bill Henderson Memorial Shield.

Our Year 10 students recently travelled to Tasmania’s East Coast as part of their Outdoor Education Coast Program, developing their surfing and rock-climbing skills while exploring some of the state’s most spectacular coastal landscapes.

Our Year 7 students had an amazing time camping at Fortescue Bay. Across the week, they experienced stand-up paddleboarding, an overnight hike to Bivouac Bay, and a range of fun team-building activities.
