The results of the Tasmanian Year 12, 2011 students' Australian Tertiary Admissions Ranks (ATARs) were released just before Christmas and Fahan School students were among those ranked as achieving exceptionally high results.
Japanese Classes enjoy lunch at Kawasemi Tea House

On Thursday 1st December students from the Year 9 and 10 Japanese classes enjoyed a wonderful Obento style Japanese lunch at Kawasemi Tea House. We were joined by our Japanese assistant teachers Noe and Yuki. Noe looked very elegant in her kimono.

The 2011 Fahan Alumni Reunion Weekend was held this year on October 7 and 8 and was a great success with a number of Alumni returning to the School to participate in a range of reunion activities that spanned across two memorable days.
Sporty Start to Reunion Events

The 2011 Reunion Events kicked off to an exciting start with the Alumni v Students Hockey and Netball matches on Friday October 7. The lunchtime bell saw the games begin with the Alumni and Student teams battling it out to a tight finish.

Performance art troupe Taiko Drum, which has got through to the semi-finals of Australia’s Got Talent, performed at Fahan today to help students raise money to donate to a school community that has been devastated by the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.
Students Escape the Cold and Conserve the Future

Instead of spending the school holidays hibernating, a group of Year 12 students from Fahan School and their Biology teacher escaped the cold and spent a week on Queensland’s tropical Brampton Island taking part in a conservation project run by Wild Mob.
